英國手語(BSL)

凱西是對語言學極感到興趣的。在一個偶然的機會，她發現了英國手語是屬於語言學的領域範圍，她過去也從來沒有想到過。有一天，她與一個朋友在Shrewsbury 的咖啡廳飲用下午茶，她看到了一個非常優雅的女士穿著一個非常精細的禮服走過，然後坐在鄰桌。她用一種不尋常的方式跟服務員溝通，手語( BSL)。凱西在第一時間看到此景的時候是有點失望，然而幾秒之後, 她突然改變了她的觀點。此女士用的語言是如此美麗，它真的在那一刻令凱西的眼睛一亮。從那時起，她一直在尋找有關此種有效BSL學習方法。

英國手語稱為BSL是在英國被廣泛使用的手語。有125,000個耳聾的成人和20000名兒童，在英國使用這種語言，與對方溝通。這使用空間和涉及的手部，身體，臉和頭部的運動。 現今，很多不聾人使用這種語言與聾人溝通。有一個年輕的女孩叫Addi 住在倫敦，她使用BSL及表現的方式是非常經典。她對手語的熱愛令凱茜感動並留下了深刻印象。

BSL British Sign Language

Cathy is interested in Linguistics. These days she has found that British Sign Language is one of linguistic fields which she did never think about it in the past. One day, she was having a cuppa with one of her friends and she saw a very elegant lady in a very fine dress walking by and sitting down at the next table. She used her unusual way to communicate with the waiter, British sign language. Cathy was a bit disappointed in what she saw at the first moment but suddenly she changed her point of view. The language which the fine lady presented was so beautiful and it really really cought cathy’s eye at that moment. It is not one off impression of BSL for Cathy. Since then, she has been searching on line about learning BSL for free. In this blog, she is going to give the readers a rough idea about BSL and suggest some good websites which can lead the readers who are interested in this field. 

British Sign Language called BSL is the sign language which is used wildly in Britain. There are 125,000 deaf adults and 20,000 children in Britain using this language to communicate with each other. It makes use of space and involves movement of the hands, body, face and head. These days a lot of people who are not deaf use this language to communicate with deaf people.  There is a young girl called Addi living in London and the way she presents the BSL is so classical.   Cathy is impressed by Addi’s passion of presenting BSL.
